 September 26, 2013, Taylor, MI – Syndicated Smooth Jazz Network Morning Show Host, Sandy Kovach will emcee the 2013 Information Center Gala Experience and Silent Auction, Thursday, October 10th at Crystal Gardens, 16703 Fort Street, Southgate. You might not recognize her on the street, but you probably would recognize her voice! Sandy’s career spans the radio dial from vintage stations WLLZ-FM, WVMV-FM, WMGC-FM and most recently she can be heard on the nationally syndicated Smooth Jazz Network along with jazz musician, Kenny G. Sandy is also on National TV with the eScapes Television Network and is featured locally in Detroit as the voice of Detroit Public Television.

Edward D’Angelo, President and CEO of The Information Center, “We’re thrilled to have Sandy Kovach as our guest emcee this year. Sandy is a talented national radio personality and she’s very connected to the community here in Southeastern Michigan. We are looking forward to having a lot of fun at this annual fundraising event while supporting the very important efforts of our staff and volunteers to help people who need our help.”

The Information Center will celebrate 38 years of community service with a VIP reception, dinner and silent auction. Entertainment will be provided by Sin Hielo, a new musical project that starts with guitar giants Wayne Gerard & Sean Blackman - and often includes other accomplished guest artists -and tours the nation. The band is based in Detroit, and has created a new sound of Latin/jazz/rock.

Major sponsors include Masco Corporation, Baker College and Heritage Newspapers. Gala tickets are on sale now ($75 each) and may be purchased by phone until October 4th, 2013.
